Our Story

Jess Dunn, International Grand Prix Dressage Rider is the new face of Centauras; an innovative equestrian therapy product brand. Since the company was founded in 2020 by Alex Harrison, Jess has extensively used and championed the therapy products. Benefitting from the Centauras Pulse Pro on numerous injuries, it has become crucial to the daily routine.

Jess and her partner Nathan were ecstatic to acquire the business at the beginning of 2023, with a vision of taking the brand forward by creating innovative, durable, affordable and practical therapy based products for horse and human.

Our aim is to work with industry professionals to create high quality, affordable products that will hopefully become firm favourites.

Whether recovering from injury, maintaining good health and wellbeing or pushing the limits in optimal performance we hope to be your ‘go-to’ brand.

Nathan Darbyshire
Managing Director

Nathan graduated from Leeds Beckett university in 2015 with a degree in Physical Education. From a young age he has always been interested in business and its workings. Day to Day he can be seen as General manager and Sales Director at his Family owned Subaru & SsangYong dealership based locally in Lancashire, where he grew up.

Aside from this, he has a passion for property and is in the process of growing his property portfolio. Nathan is keen to bring his business knowledge and experience to this new venture.

JESS DUNN
BRAND DIRECTOR

Jess participated in all pony club activities as a youngster, mainly excelling at dressage and eventing. At the age of 14 she decided to specialise in dressage and upon leaving school left home to work for Danish Grand Prix rider Henriette Andersen. Aged 20 she dipped her toe back in the eventing pool by working for Dutch event rider Andrew Heffernan before leaving for Germany aged 21. She worked for world renowned rider, breeder and trainer Wolfram Wittig until 2014 ultimately deciding that new opportunities lay back home.

Since 2015 she has won regional and National titles and now rides exclusively for the state of the art White Hill Stud. Her passion lies with producing and competing young horses through to riding at Grand Prix and all the journey in-between!
